As Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you will define, lead, and drive the go-to-market strategy within the Energy sector to drive awareness, preference, adoption, and category leadership. Key responsibilities include core messaging and product positioning, product launches and sales enablement, market analysis and competitive intelligence, and product activation initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product marketing for Smartcar in the Energy sector, focusing on DERMs/VPPs, utilities & energy retailers, home energy, and EV charging networks.
  • Craft differentiated product narratives, positioning, and messaging for personas and use cases within the Energy sector.
  • Drive GTM strategies to enhance sales pipeline, accelerate deals, and improve funnel conversions.
  • Develop playbooks and sales enablement collateral including pitch decks, 1-pagers, solution briefs, competitive battle cards, demos, and more.
  • Conduct thorough customer, competitive, and market research to influence marketing, sales, and product strategy.
  • Manage new API endpoint introductions, feature releases, pricing, packaging, and branding efforts.
  • Support industry and solutions marketing campaigns, customer marketing initiatives, social, paid digital, PR/AR, and industry events.
  • Establish and track KPIs that matter.
  • Manage agency and contractor relationships as needed.
  • Occasional travel required.

Who You Are

  • 6-10 years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience.
  • Industry experience in DERMs/VPP, home energy, utilities & energy retailers, or EV charging networks highly desirable.
  • Quick learner of product and technical concepts.
  • Proven track record of partnering with technical and sales teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communications skills.
  • Metrics-focused, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (Ortto/Autopilot, Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree. Masters, advanced degree and/or MBA desirable.

Compensation and Benefits Package

  • Base salary determined by years of experience: $125,000 - $170,000, plus a 7.5% variable
  • Equity.
  • Remote work within the United States.
  • Health, Dental and Vision covered at 90% for all plans and 80% coverage for dependents, which amounts to approximately 11 thousand dollars a year.
  • 401K matching at 4%.

Expected Hours

  • You are free to work standard work hours for your time zone. 
  • One important note: Most of the team is based on the west coast therefore please expect to be available between the hours of 9AM and 4PM PT for outreach or meetings. We will do our best to ensure meetings are not late in your evening, but will not always be able to do so.
