Ai Layer Labs is a seed stage startup with remote employees, with a subset of leadership based in the greater Seattle area.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and academically inclined Senior Software Developer with a robust background in Python and AI to join our team. This full-time, remote role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in an innovative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about building solutions at the intersection of AI and blockchain. This individual contributor role reports to the Director of Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy modular software components with a focus on AI applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development of our decentralized AI inference platform.
- Lead by example with high-quality coding practices and an emphasis on scalability and security.
- Engage in research and apply academic findings to solve complex problems within the AI domain.
- Contribute to open-source projects and actively participate in academic discussions within the AI community.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in Python and a portfolio showcasing projects across various AI/ML paradigms, including those utilizing PyTorch for model development.
- Demonstrated experience with Generative AI development and a strong grasp of inference algorithms, enhanced by familiarity with PyTorch ecosystem and its application in creating advanced AI solutions.
- A robust academic background in computer science or a related field, ideally with a record of leveraging Python in both research and practical AI/ML implementations.
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and enthusiasm for applying decentralized solutions in the AI space.
