Role:

As a part of the AI team, you will be working with developing, testing and deploying complex recommender systems to provide optimal shopping experience in various online fashion retailer shops.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, research and conceptualize new state-of-art AI projects and improvements for existing recommender systems.
  • Be actively involved in discussions with various stakeholders, such as business and development to design new solutions and brainstorm ideas for future development.
  • Build production-ready code for recommender systems using deep learning frameworks and cloud technologies.
  • Design, prototype and analyze online and offline tests for different machine learning models across different fashion retailer shops.
  • Work in collaboration with other teams to move the machine learning projects from concept to production.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • 5 years of full-time work experience (excluding internships), with at least 3 years in AI.
  • Proven track record of designing, building, and refining recommender systems for real-world applications.
  • Experience with deep learning architectures such as RNN, GRU and Graph neural networks.
  • Expertise in PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
  • Strong Python programming skills with knowledge of Scipy, Numpy, Pandas, and Scikit-Learn.
  • Familiarity with evaluating recommender systems using common metrics.
  • Previous experience using cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Understanding of agile (scrum), test-driven development, and clean code principles.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
  • Effective collaboration with AI researchers at the University of Hanover, ensuring structured development and excellent results.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and consumer-focused approach to drive continuous system improvements.
  • Professional proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
