AWS/DevOps Technical Lead

As the AWS/DevOps Technical Lead, you will be focused on delivering and supporting custom-built applications within CareCentrix on premises and on AWS Cloud. You will be a critical member of the CareCentrix DevOps team to help design, develop, and maintain the support processes and procedures for application configuration and deployment. You will partner with various application and infrastructure groups to ensure robust stability and high uptime.

In this Job, you will:

  • Create and deliver automation software required for building & improving the functionality, availability, and manageability of application through CI/CD pipeline, in an IAC method
  • Lead a cross-functional team to create proofs of concept and proofs of value for process and tool changes
  • Build and maintain an AWS cloud infrastructure architecture aligning security, compliance, performance and resilience
  • Demonstrate the DevOps tools, process, and culture changes in the form of written documentation and oral presentations to include roadmaps of changes across the various practice areas and high-level technical design/architecture documents
  • Perform proof of concept testing on open source tools, frameworks and software to assess the fit for our environment and teams
  • Build CloudFormation scripts to provision resources like EC2, EBS, S3 buckets, Network Interfaces, VPCs and subnets as per the requirement
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality management system processes
  • Ensure strict process adherence by the team with regard to audit and compliance requirements
  • Utilize your strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end to end Cloud infrastructure architectures and designs
  • Assess the existing ecosystem, provide visibility, understand pain areas, constraints, prioritize and lead changes to structures, mindsets, roles, processes and the software delivery chain in support of arising business needs.
  • Build working prototypes using Cloud Native design patterns and example applications that use the DevOps Ecosystem to demonstrate its capabilities and solve engineer's problems
  • Automate the infrastructure by utilizing CloudFormation, Terraform, Puppet, Chef or Ansible
  • Work with teams to identify the impact of needed security changes and assist in finding a solution to problems that arises
  • Manage and maintain multiple environments, ensuring that these environments are properly set up, configured, available and are HIPAA compliant
  • Manage AWS organizational structure and change management including accounts, identities, authorizations and governance policies
  • Evangelize DevOps strategy with stakeholders across various development, operations and quality teams at various levels of the organization

  • You have a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or similar field; Master’s preferred
  • You have 10-15 years of experience maintaining custom applications in a DevOps environment
  • You have 5+ years of experience working in AWS
  • You have significant knowledge of AWS systems including EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, Lambda, Security Groups, VPCs, Inspector, EKS and containers etc.
  • You are a resident Cloud infrastructure subject matter expert - researching, implementing and communicating Infrastructure-as-code solutions across the Enterprise
  • You have knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Groovy, JavaScript, Ruby, Bas
  • You have experience with configuration management, deployment automation systems and concepts (Maven, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation etc)
  • You have significant experience with open source tools and understand when a good commercial compliment is available based on the sustainability of the solution, speed to solution and long-term economic impact of the choices
  • You have expertise in resiliency engineering, multi-availability cloud designs and the concept of fault management and application performance management
  • You have experience creating documentation for application configuration and procedures
  • You can effectively communicate complex technology solutions to all levels of management
  • You have experienced working in the Healthcare industry or other highly regulated industries
