This role is for an I O Engineer that will join a team responsible for developing a growing cloud-based data ecosystem consisting of a data lake and databases that support analytics, extracts, and reporting. The right candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure provisioning and maintenance, and a strong desire to utilize this experience on a major cloud platform such as Azure. The candidate should be comfortable working with a variety of systems, including aspects of administration and support required to maintain them.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining deployment pipelines
  • Supporting the build-out of our cloud platform
  • Implementing monitoring solutions for our infrastructure
  • Perform and automate routine administrative tasks in both on-premises datacenters as well as in the cloud
  • Identifying and implementing processes in support of ongoing operational support for our IT department
  • Documenting and writing specs for infrastructure and operational processes

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in systems operations or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years working with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
  • 1+ years of experience automating repeatable tasks
  • 1+ years working in one or more common scripting languages, i.e., Bash, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with container platforms, i.e., Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in cloud-based infrastructure - Azure
  • Experience automating infrastructure provisioning with Terraform
  • Experience working with Jenkins or other deployment pipelines
  • Experience working with automated configuration tools such as Chef, Salt, Helm, etc.
  • Experience performing setup and maintenance of Tableau and Power BI
  • Experience aggregating application metrics and logging in Splunk
  • Experience working with a major relation database system
  • Experience in Apache Airflow and Python
  • Experience working with geographically diverse teams, including offshore
  • Ability to create reports for routine inspection of system performance and security auditing

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400.
