About the Role
We are seeking a 2D/3D animator for a graphic design agency. This is a remote position. The primary responsibility will be creating short, cartoonish-style animated films annually, with the current project requiring a 1-minute animation video.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and animate characters in a cartoonish style, bringing them to life through dynamic movements and expressions.
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand the project's vision, storyline, and character personalities.
- Utilize both 2D and 3D animation techniques to create engaging and visually appealing animated films.
- Incorporate existing layered characters and assets into the animation workflow.
- Ensure consistent animation quality, style, and adherence to brand guidelines across all projects.
- Deliver final animation files in the required formats and specifications.
- Meet project deadlines and maintain open communication throughout the production process.
Requirements
- Junior to mid-level experience in 2D and 3D character animation and rigging.
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Maya, Blender, or similar).
- Strong understanding of animation principles, such as timing, squash and stretch, anticipation, and follow-through.
- Ability to create expressive and engaging character animations suitable for a cartoonish style.
- Experience in storyboarding and animating short films is a plus.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote freelance capacity.
