The Role...

We’re seeking a number of Account Directors to help us achieve our long-term vision, providing strong, effective account management to clients across the board.

You’ll be in charge of the strategic development and direction of your own client portfolio, measuring effectiveness through their happiness, retention, and growth. They’ll each have a monthly spend of between $10K - $80K, keeping you on your toes with project needs great and small.

Reporting to our Regional Director, Client Services, you’ll also get to proactively input into the strategic direction of the team, supporting and mentoring more junior members too.

You’ll need to bring organization, diplomacy, tact, and pragmatism to the table. Client relations aren’t always easy, and delivering on a vision can be a messy task. You’ll have to juggle priorities, try to please everyone, and sometimes you might even drop the ball. But here at Ph. we’re determined achievers, industry disruptors, and we relish a challenge.

You’ll also be expected to support with New Business activities such as RFPs and pitches. In fact, you’ll be able to build your own portfolio of clients. Sure, you’ll inherit a few existing ones, but you’ll grow your portfolio to $1.7M and then take those accounts and nurture and grow them. Your clients may eventually become your friends, and if you’re lucky, your friends become your clients. With this in mind it’s important to have experience with Employer Brand and Recruitment Marketing. Best case scenario, you will have gained this agency side.

What will the role look like on a day to day basis?

We all get involved in a whole host of different projects. Things move fast, and you’ll need to be collaborative, adaptable, and resilient. And whenever change comes along, which it often does, you’ll be able to take it in your stride. Here are just a few of the things we’ll be looking for you to deliver:

Consulting with senior stakeholders (VP level) on their talent and employer brand challengers. So being 'fluent' in all things Employer Brand is a MUST.

Manage a portfolio of clients with varying monthly spend, delivering digital and creative solutions that bring big results for their business.

Nurture and grow relationships with senior stakeholders across client teams and departments to increase revenue and grow accounts. This could include client entertainment, on-site working, and awards ceremonies.

Support your client with account and strategic direction, future opportunities, and award strategies. Keep up to date with their business, their industry news, best practices etc. Know your clients inside and out so you can best help them, and keep them up-to-date with what’s going on at Ph., too.

Report regularly and consistently on project success to your clients, taking a real data-led approach and using results to assist in decision-making and direction.

Maintain great communication with the Ph. Accounts team, using HubSpot to clearly pipeline opportunity and new business. Grow the business through your portfolio, and develop great upsell opportunities.

Work towards quarterly targets of c.$385,000 of revenue. Have regular conversations within Ph. to ensure we’re delivering work on time, on budget, and making a profit. But you’ll be rewarded commission just for hitting target and more bonus for overachieving. OTE you should be earning an additional $12-$15K per year

Support our Sales department when necessary, providing insights and creativity to win new inbound business, and contributing to pitches where needed.

Identify issues before they arise with foresight, taking action to get back on track, knowing when to escalate issues higher or handle them yourself.

Be inspiring and authentic, encouraging all teams to perform to their best, and creating fantastic relationships with all colleagues and teams. Mentor and share experience with junior members of the Client Services team, and support your manager with new ideas and ways of working.

Make sure internal systems and practices are met at all times (e.g. contact or progress reports), completing tasks accurately and on time.

As well as this list, you’ll need to take on other tasks in line with the job too. But we’ll give you what you need to succeed, whatever we ask you to do.

What You'll Need To Bring...

In terms of experience and expertise, here’s what we’re looking for:

The must-haves:

To be fluent in Employer Brand. This means understanding, in detail, the world of talent and employee communications

Strong experience of account directorship, with experience of client-facing comms and the proven ability to grow the business on an account.

A real passion for digital and creative solutions, and spot-on industry knowledge.

The ability to both manage a team, and work well within one, sharing tasks and skills and bridging the gap between Board level management and your own team.

Ability to influence at all levels, from junior staff right up to Board level.

Able to share insights, opinions and advice with clients that are tailored and relevant to their business.

Plus, if you can bring any of these non-essentials, that’d be a bonus:

The nice-to-haves:

Previous experience of agency work.

Understanding of events and experiential marketing.

Experience and insight in the world of social media marketing and community management.

A solid knowledge of online PR and outreach techniques.
