Account Executive
Baseten is on a mission to make it easier for businesses to build and deliver innovative ML solutions with our modern MLOps platform. Data scientists at breakout companies like Patreon and Pipe are already using Baseten to go from zero-to-one in solving real problems with machine learning but we’re just getting started.
We are looking for our first Account Executive to join our dynamic team of entrepreneurs, engineers, marketers, and designers. This role is a great fit for those with sales experience looking to grow into a leadership role at a high-growth startup environment. As the founding Account Executive, you will be responsible for prospecting and closing new business alongside our founders and Marketing team. You’ll consult with our existing customer base and prospective customers to build meaningful relationships and shape our product and go-to-market roadmaps.
This role will start as an individual contributor, with the high potential to develop into a leadership role as you add value to revenue and the customer experience.
THE ROLE
- As the first Sales hire, you’ll help build the foundation and processes for customer-facing teams at Baseten
- Lead, negotiate, and execute new sales opportunities for Baseten
- In partnerships with the marketing and BDR team, develop a strong sales pipeline support quarterly and annual sales targets
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within sales accounts
- Work cross-functionally to improve the customer experience and ensure sales effectiveness
YOU'RE A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE...
- 3-5 years of sales experience in a SaaS business
- Experience in selling to technical audiences
- Experience with developer/machine-learning tooling preferred, but not required
- Proven ability to close complex sales cycles
- Proficiency with sales and marketing automation tools
- Interest in working at an early-stage, fast-paced startup
