Account Executive - New Business

Estafet is looking to hire an Account Executive - New Business for its London operations. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated, entrepreneurially-minded professional with excellent business acumen, an existing strong network, and strong communication and networking skills. The role is UK-based and involves a mix of wfh and travelling within the UK. You will be responsible for establishing a strong network and business relations with our startup and other target account segments and building the business relationships to generate net new customer logos and grow Estafet’s business pipeline.

The Account Executive - New Business is a customer-facing role involving direct customer interaction. You will utilise your existing network and market search capabilities to identify potential customers and systematically reach out and engage with them to generate new business. You should be adept and comfortable with all aspects of networking, including cold-calling, email, SMS messages, events attendance, webinars, in-person meetings, working with our partners, and other forms of outreach to nurture prospects.

Your responsibilities:

  • Research and engage with startups (and other target account segments as appropriate) in the UK through cold-calling, emailing, and networking events to drive net new sales.
  • Research, profile and attend local IT-related events, including those for startups (meetups, thematic social networking events, and webinars) where potential clients engage.
  • Provide internal briefings to the Estafet management team regarding the prospect pipeline for further sales engagement.
  • Research, profile and contact VCs/PEs to build partnerships and business relations, positioning Estafet’s expertise and services. You will build an account-based engagement and drive the executive relationship with the VCs/PEs.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and webinars, and build connections with attendees with the support of Estafet’s Head of Sales and CEO.
  • Gather information on trends and startup challenges, and identify topics for thought leadership that Estafet can include in its content strategy. Contribute to engagement ideas that Estafet can adopt on its social media pages.
  • Nourish fruitful and positive relationships, and set up meetings with decision-makers within a limited timeframe.
  • Deliver weekly planning and reporting against progress during 1:1 sessions with Estafet’s management.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of IT services sales with min. 4+ years in business development within the UK IT services industry. Having strong services sales and/or software sales skills will be preferred.
  • Friendly, open, with exceptional interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
  • Be able to bring new ideas and suggest improvements to Estafet’s lead generation process that motivate and encourage potential customers to engage with us.
  • Understanding of startup segments, investment rounds, and growth startup challenges.
  • Ability to ramp up fast and impact the business early.
  • Proven strategies and experience to attract clients successfully and the ability to swiftly negotiate to close business deals.
  • Be self-driven, have an entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful, and be willing to explore new things.
  • Have a wide existing network of contacts and potential clients and a passion for startups and technology innovators.
  • Be willing and able to engage in cold reach-out to prospects.
  • Be able to rapidly identify what constitutes a value-add for customers and be excited about technology.
  • Have an analytical and critical thinking mindset with a strong attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge and/or understanding of IT outsourcing and project management is recommended.
  • Possess strong business acumen.
  • High proficiency in English is a must.
  • The candidate must be based in the UK and willing to work remotely.
  • Willing to travel to meet prospective customers.
