The Role

Scalero is a rapidly growing, US-based CRM and Lifecycle Marketing consultancy. Since our inception in 2019, we have been dedicated to assisting businesses in achieving their marketing goals. As we continue to expand, we recognize the need for improved financial management and oversight.

Joining our team as an Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and transparency of our operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who can manage financial processes, provide strategic financial insights, and ensure compliance with financial regulations in the US while also operating in Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and summaries, offering insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with various departments to ensure financial alignment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, working closely with external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Partner with Operations Manager to manage invoicing and Accounts Receivables
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to make informed financial decisions, supporting the company's growth and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a controller or accountant similar role, preferably within a startup or fast-growing company.
  • Strong understanding of US accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and tools, preferably Quickbooks Online.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM or marketing consultancy financial operations.
  • Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics and KPIs.
  • Prior experience in establishing or refining financial processes in a growing company.

The details

  • Available for anyone living in Mexico, preferably in Mexico City.
  • Hybrid role (in-person and remote). We have an office in CDMX.
  • Laptop provided (owned by Scalero).
  • Health insurance provided.
  • Salary in USD: $14,400/year ($1,200/month).
