We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team. In partnership with our small-but-mighty Finance team, you will help us tackle all sorts of projects and challenges. We are passionate about problem-solving, expanding our knowledge, helping Strava grow, and having fun while we’re at it.
As an Accountant at Strava, you will work closely with the Finance team to support our company’s rapid and sustained growth. The role will aid in scaling the capacity of our team to keep pace with the company's growth overall. Every day is a new challenge, and you’re continually looking for ways to help us become more efficient and effective. A great teammate at heart, you'll collaborate across various teams, advocating standard processes and chip in where needed. You are able to adapt quickly while keeping your focus on details, and tapping into your problem-solving skills to support business objectives. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:
- Assist the rest of the accounting team with the close and financial reporting each month.
- Prepare and provide required schedules and documents to our external auditors.
- Handle the approval, payment and accounting processes for invoices from outside vendors.
- Monitor and account for charges on corporate credit cards via our corporate card platform.
- Assist in the maintenance of supporting documents.
We’re excited about you because:
- Achieved a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent practical experience.
- Have 1-2 years of professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping at a public, private or start-up company.
- Excellent analytical skills, combined with outstanding business judgment and stellar communication skills, all the while having strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- You have an understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
- You are a CPA or CPA track (a plus, but not required).
- You're a self-starter and self-motivated individual with a consistent track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
