Role
Our Finance team is looking for a highly motivated, results-driven accountant to join us. You will be a key member in an evolving accounting department focused on supporting operational and financial decision-makers. You'll play a critical role in our monthly closing process, data entry, journal preparation, reporting requirements, assisting with tax compliance, and improving our overall efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
- Assist in various projects and financial accounting tasks as part of the monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
- Assist in ERP maintenance, while implementing new process efficiencies
- Assist project and financial managers with accounting-related matters, ad hoc requests, and special projects
- Support external auditors and tax preparers as needed
- Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferably accounting or finance, or an equivalent number of years’ experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in accounting or finance
- Demonstrated knowledge and interest for internal general ledger accounting and reporting
- Ability to leverage ERP systems and use Microsoft Office applications along with Slack and Google’s G Suite applications including Google Drive, calendar, sheets, docs, and more.
- Knowledge of Unanet is a plus
- Knowledge of FAR or DCAA guidance is a plus
- Experience communicating analysis to senior leadership
- Experience working in a fast-moving, scaling company environment.
- Attention to detail is a must
The US estimated base salary for this full-time W2 employee role is $55,000-$110,000 not including bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, location, and employment type. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, include but not limited to work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
