Accountant I

Applicants for this role must live in St. Louis, MO and come into the Clayton, MO office one day a month to get mail.
Position Purpose: To maintain accurate financial records, prepare monthly financial statements and participate in special projects.
- Prepare the monthly financial statement-reporting package
- Evaluate variances, account balances, etc.
- Account for cash through cash deposits, cash applications, collection and cash forecasting
- Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital
- Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in health care industry.
Pay Range: $46,500.00 - $79,200.00 per yearCentene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
