Accounting Manager

What we’re looking for 🔎
As an Accounting Manager you will be the accounting focused leader of the Business Operations Team, a high performing team consisting of Finance, Revenue Operations and Business Intelligence. Your primary responsibility will be to carry out, develop, and improve accounting procedures that ensure a high level of efficiency allowing our business to scale while following appropriate internal controls and compliance with US GAAP. You will work with Senior Leadership and external parties on a range of items including financial reporting, regulatory filings, annual audits and tax filings, foreign expansion and budgets. In this role, you’ll get to…
- Manage the monthly accounting close process to ensure accurate accounting records; including consolidation of Company’s international entities in Canada and EMEA with US books
- Supervision and mentoring of existing distributed team based in Philippines
- Maintain and update monthly and quarterly bonus and commission calculations for Company employees
- Maintain, reconcile, monitor and improve the company's accounting and related software tools (e.g. SaaSOptics, QuickBooks Online, Airbase, Travelperk, Vendor)
- Help set, update and enforce company policies related to compensation, expenses, travel and new and existing vendor acquisition or renewal
- Pinpoint process and control improvement opportunities and implement changes
- Uphold a solid understanding of accounting policies to ensure company’s accounting is compliant with US GAAP
- Collaborate with Team to provide reporting and analysis to external parties including banks, auditors, tax accountants, Board of Directors and investors
- Assist in preparation of materials and communications with external auditors and tax accountants as needed for annual financial statement audits and tax return filings
- Additional responsibilities for special projects as they arise
Who You Are
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance from a top university/college required
- Knowledge of US GAAP, accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls; SaaS and ASC 606 experience a plus
- Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably at high growth SaaS environments and/or Big 4 accounting environments
- Experience with and the desire to automate processes and reconciliations
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to manage and complete projects
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Comfortable working in a fast growing start-up without the structure of large corporate entities
- Possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing people fostering a positive and ethical environment
- Team Player – strong willingness to support the team as we are a close-knit group
- Familiarity with Quickbooks, SaaSOptics, Airbase, Vendr, Salesforce and/or other accounting and client management systems is a plus
- Experience with multi-ledger accounting and consolidations a plus

When we find the right person, we try to put our best foot forward with an offer that excites you. We consider what you are looking for, the skills and experience you bring, what similar jobs pay and make sure there’s fair pay among those you’ll be working with. The base compensation amount for this role is targeted at $125,000 - $135,000 USD. In addition to your cash compensation, every full-time employee will be able to participate in our employee equity program. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including your experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
