Location: Remote

Work Hours: PST

Work Shift: 40 hours per week (Full time)

Rate: $15

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will oversee the accounts payable department, ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the Accounts Payable Process:

  • Oversee the entire accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt to payment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payments.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

Vendor Management:

  • Maintain and build relationships with vendors.
  • Resolve vendor and internal inquiries regarding account status, discrepancies, and issues.
  • Negotiate payment terms and manage cash flow effectively.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor accounts payable staff.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide ongoing feedback and development.
  • Allocate tasks and manage workflow within the team to ensure efficiency.

Reporting and Compliance:

  • Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with auditors and provide necessary documentation and support.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize technology to automate processes and reduce manual efforts.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and implement them within the department.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
