Accounts Senior
Description
Mintago is looking for a part time Senior Accounts professional to work directly with the CFO.
Main responsibilties:
- Maintaining AR register, ensuring all payments are reconciled on a timely basis and preparing a weekly list of overdue invoices for customer contact. Contacting customers as necessary via email and phone.
- Daily maintenance of a central finance inbox, liaising with staff, customers and other third parties.
- Maintain financial records on a weekly basis, to ensure sales, purchases, banks and credit cards are up to date.
- Preparing weekly supplier payment runs.
- Setting up monhtly payments to staff for salaries (NB: this is just setting up payment - payroll processing to be done externally by VCS)
- Liaising with staff on adhoc financial queries.
- Maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations monthly (accrued income, deferred income, prepayments, accruals, depreciation, maintenace of loan balances).
- Liaising with staff to resolve queries.
- Support CFO on monthly reporting, preparing monthly management accounts and understanding why variances have arisen compared with the budget.
- Continuously looking to improve processes, using technology to automate where possible.
- Liaise with external accountants to provide information at the company financial year end.
Requirements
- Minimum AAT level 4 qualified with knowledge of UK GAAP.
- Good experience using Xero.
- Good Experience with Huboc or Dext.
- Experience working in a fast paced, start up environment. Willingness to help with queries and team members' understanding of information.
- Effective communicator with a creative and collaborative mindset, comfortable working with teams across the business.
- Mathematical and data driven approach to problem solving.
- Experience using Excel to an advanced level (e.g. Vlookup, Hlookup)
- Strong organisational skills, comfortable working to deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience with CRM system such as Chargebee.
- Experience with payment platform software, such as Get Apron.
- Experience working within a tech based company, preferably a Saas company.
