As an Administrative Assistant within the Contracting and Compliance team, your primary job responsibilities will include the following:

  • Process producer contracting/appointment requests.
  • Reviews producer appointment applications for completeness to ensure current, accurate information.
  • Verifies producers are appropriately contracted and appointed for the specific state business is written in.
  • Follows up on outstanding contracting to ensure all information is received to complete contracting and appointment processes.
  • Uses various state websites and NIPR to ensure producer and agencies are appropriately licensed for the product and state business is being written.
  • Keeps abreast of current State Departments of Insurance requirements based upon updates received from legal/compliance areas and updates manuals to ensure up-to date information is available and makes decisions accordingly.
  • Creates report of appointment submissions, fees per state, per carrier and provide to Supervisor and/or Accounting team.
  • Provides weekly and monthly reporting to Supervisor that includes the number of producers appointed by carrier and state.
  • Serves as resource for questions related to all tasks tied to the appointment and renewal process.
  • Updates producer appointment renewal dates and other vital information in the system to ensure the most up to date appointment information is maintained in the various administrative systems.
  • Provides producers with written notification of their appointments and terminations as well as providing executed copies of Producer Agreements to the producer field.
  • Performs similar job-related duties as assigned.
  • Assists with contracting, appointment or licensing questions from producers and other departments within the company.
  • Works closely with the Sales and CX teams to accomplish contracting and appointment needs.
  • Scans, saves and organizes company, producer and client carrier correspondence.
  • Protects the privacy of all information received and/or worked with.
  • Performs a wide range of compliance-related research.
  • Involved in SOP research, writing, reviewing, cataloguing, and organizing.
  • Assists in developing programs, systems, processes, and procedures for contracting, licensing, and other needs as assigned.
  • Assists or manages special projects upon request.
  • Provides other assistance to Manager as needed.

  • WPM: 60

  • Insurance Industry Experience Preferred
