Advocacy Editorial Manager
*This role is a fully remote contract role serving our client in PST.

We’re looking for an Advocacy Evidence and Editorial Manager to support the Global Customer Advocacy Program (GCAP) within the Microsoft Cloud Marketing organization to support the operations of the Advocacy and Evidence teams. This world-class, highly visible team supports several Microsoft teams including sales, marketing, analyst relations, and events. This team is on a mission to grow the number of advocates who are excited to share their experience leveraging Microsoft’s leading to accelerate innovation and drive business results. The focus of this role is around written customer stories for products, including Azure, Dynamics, Industry, Power Platform, and more.
The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable evidence or content editorial manager, with demonstrated experience championing editorial best practices, processes, and governance. This person thrives on being the subject matter expert and helping stakeholders get the most ROI from their content, while managing expectations based on the Advocacy team’s resources and capacity. The candidate will partner with stakeholders both internally at Microsoft as well as across multiple agencies. The Advocacy Editorial team members support stakeholders with review of their content, as well as publication.
Would you like to…
- Manage content intake via internal tools
- Review submitted content against best practices and governance, including:
- Reviewing headers/sub-headers to ensure error-free copy
- Searching for product names and modifying as necessary to ensure correct branding
- Ensuring pull quotes match quotes in the body copy
- Appropriate metadata tagging
- Verifying URLs, flagging or modifying as necessary
- Running spell checks and performing an accessibility check
- Reviewing for sensitive topics, such as defense, explicit language, etc.
- Ensuring we have customer approval for publication of the content
- Provide recommendations to content submitters for improvements and/or make edits to the content directly
- Publish content through tools such as Percolate and other internal platforms
- Ensure Quality Control of content landing on Customers.Microsoft.com coming in through Advocacy internal submission tools
- Further develop and implement best practices through learnings • Educate others on best practices, governance, etc. through daily interactions
- Provide performance reporting against KPIs and monthly capacity limits
What you bring:
- 3+ years’ experience as an evidence/content/editorial manager
- Minimum of 3 years of copy-editing or marketing experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent of 5+ years’ marketing experience
- Familiarity in the B2B sales process • A customer service mindset when working with stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams
- Experience presenting to internal stakeholders, providing recommendations to improve content, and delivering KPI results
- Microsoft experience a plus

Compensation Range: $35 - $40/hour
This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
