Job Summary:

Our digital marketing agency is seeking an experienced Affiliate Marketing Manager to join our performance team. As an Affiliate Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing affiliate marketing programs for clients that aim to drive value and new customers through affiliate channels. You will work closely with clients to understand their business goals, develop affiliate marketing strategies, and manage (and analyze, audit, etc.) partnerships with publishers and advertisers.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of digital marketing, affiliate marketing channels, experience in driving cost per signup, cost per sale, cost per download, and other tangible metrics, as well as 3-5 years of experience working with top affiliate networks and publishers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and execute affiliate marketing campaigns for clients with an emphasis on driving online registrations, app downloads and online purchases.
  • Identify and onboard new affiliates and partners who specialize in user signups and lead forms.
  • Monitor and optimize affiliate programs to improve performance and ROI, with a specific focus on metrics such as cost-per-lead (CPL), cost-per-install (CPI) and cost-per-action (CPA)
  • Analyze performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations ongoing to clients to optimize their campaigns.
  • Develop creative and effective affiliate marketing strategies for clients, both content and quality.
  • Police and monitor affiliate partners to ensure compliance, channel alignment (ie. what sources they are using to generate conversions) and adherence to guidelines and “rules of engagement”.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and tailor affiliate programs to their specific needs, selecting the proper affiliates who align with these key performance goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure affiliate campaigns are integrated with other marketing channels to maximize efforts and balance the budget accordingly.
  • Review affiliate performance and make reallocation recommendations (and decisions) ongoing based on overall costs and quality standards, and alignment with client goals and status on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in affiliate marketing.
  • Manage and track affiliate marketing budgets and expenses related to conversion goals.
  • Provide regular reporting to clients on performance of campaigns and recommendations for optimization, analyzing partner output as well as their sources, auditing data from each affiliate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in affiliate marketing
  • Strong knowledge of affiliate marketing channels and strategies with a proven record of success
  • Experience managing and optimizing affiliate programs for clients focused on core acquisition KPIs including lead generation (sign up, submissions), purchases (e-commerce conversions) and downloads (app installs, etc.).
  • 3-5 years of experience working with top affiliate networks and publications.
  • Relationships with affiliate partners based on experience of working in the affiliate space.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions, with experience in app download metrics such as CPL, CPI, CPS and CPA
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of affiliate tracking and reporting tools such as HasOffers, CJ Affiliate, Cake, ShareASale and other top platforms is a plus.
