This is an engagement through Upwork’s Hybrid Workforce Solutions (HWS) Team. Our Hybrid Workforce Solutions Team is a global group of professionals that support Upwork’s business. Our HWS team members are located all over the world.
Work/Project Scope:
- Develop and release Upwork’s suite of mobile application offerings.
- Collaborate with product and feature teams to educate and influence software architecture and solutions that are optimized for a mobile experience.
- Design, adopt, and develop tools and infrastructure to allow efficient validation of Upwork’s mobile application offerings.
- Follow and contribute to an efficient remote distributed development process.
Must Haves (Required Skills):
- Flexible working schedule, as Upwork’s teams are distributed across the globe.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills using English.
- Solid understanding of mobile development processes and lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Working experience with design patterns such as MVVMP, MVVM, SOLID, dependency injection, et al.
- Working experience in Android development and related toolchain.
- Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java.
- Some experience working with Android SDK and related frameworks and libraries.
