About the Role:

We're Twitch's in-house creative team, and we're looking for a contract Art Director (Contract) to drive campaigns and help us continue to build our beloved, one-of-a-kind, rapidly growing Twitch brand. You will sit within marketing and report to the Head of Creative.

The ideal candidate is a versatile art director who can balance the authentic, insightful, and strategic with the creative, fun, and funny. They have a love for the ever expanding realms of gaming and the internet matched with a focus on marketing impact and breakthrough. We are a hands-on team in a fast-moving company, so this person will manage, multi-task and make things happen. They have a vast array of tools in their inventory. They can crack open a brief with a big idea, inspire teams with their thinking, and dig into the details of design, craft, and execution. They are equally at home with traditional marketing channels as they are experimenting and innovating in non-traditional channels, with experience finding new ways for brands to show up and breakthrough. They bring an optimistic, collaborative leadership style and an ambition to make great work that takes our brand to the next level.

You can work in New York, NY or remote in the US.

You Will:

  • Concept, develop, and design breakthrough and effective creative for campaigns, projects, and the Twitch product.
  • Drive results in both traditional and non-traditional channels, from billboards to events to this has never been done before and now we're doing it live on stream.
  • Oversee production from start to finish, either internally or working with production partners
  • Spark innovation and experimentation in how the Twitch brand comes to life and connects with our community
  • Partner and collaborate with teams across Twitch and agencies beyond our walls
  • Push our limits creatively, setting new standards for creative excellence and effectiveness while bringing strategy, insights, cultural awareness, and results into the heart of our creative conversations.
  • Implement our Twitch brand voice and visual style
  • Do things that earn press coverage, win awards and get the world buzzing about us!
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Twitch community and Twitch product, using those insights to empower more meaningful campaigns and marketing opportunities.

You Have:

  • 5+ years experience developing and executing unique and creative strategies, solutions, and campaigns directly or via an agency, with proven success in catapulting culturally-relevant brands to the next level.
  • 5+ years experience guiding and developing a brand identity or presence over time
  • Standout conceptual creative ability with a strong design foundation, including understanding of current design tools such as Figma and AI tools.
  • Skillset to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize, be alright with ambiguity, and lead while also getting hands-on.
  • Combination of big picture, big idea thinking with focus on craft and technique
  • Ability to pitch and sell ideas
  • Working knowledge of production and development timelines, including budget and how to hit key milestones
  • Client facing experience, collaborative work style, and ability to take feedback
  • Appreciation for analytics and data paired, especially the role it can play in influencing creative solutions
  • Understanding of media landscape and channels including but not limited to, Livestreaming, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and any other relevant platforms
  • BS/BA in art, design, marketing, communications, or advertising is preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120/hour in our lowest geographic market and up to $150/hour in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
