Assessment Developer (Cloud Computing) - Contract
About The Role
- We’re looking for an Assessment Developer (contractor) with deep Cloud Computing expertise to contribute in building the world’s best skills assessments. You’ll join a team of experts in data science, education, and psychometrics implementing quantitative and qualitative methods to improve our online assessments. You will be responsible for coordinating with SMEs to develop and maintain assessments related to Cloud Computing, including developing competency models, generating items, and participating in the QA process.
🧠 Here’s what you’ll do:
- Build a competency model. You will work with Workera scientists to develop competency models for domains related to Cloud Computing.
- Create high-quality questions. You will create questions for Cloud Computing assessments that adhere to Workera quality standards.
- Participate in our QA process. You will help ensure that only the high-quality Cloud Computing assessment questions are made available to our learners. For that, you will need to rapidly understand the features of good questions and apply that knowledge to suggest improvements.
- Research. You will learn about state-of-the-art assessment techniques, and stay up-to-date with the latest industry practices in Cloud Computing.
⚒️ We hope you have:
- Cloud Computing expertise. You should have practical experience in one or more Cloud Computing platforms. You should have a deep understanding of Cloud Computing and its nuances, and can apply knowledge to complex situations with consistency and a high standard of results.
- Strong writing and editing skills in English. You should be able to author, evaluate, and revise assessment items.
- Detail-oriented. You should pay attention to the details and empathize with the user who will solve your test question.
- Fast learner. You should be able to research and quickly learn about new topics.
- Experience using ChatGPT. You should be familiar with using ChatGPT or other publicly-available LLMs.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience as an instructor or teaching assistant at the university level.
- Experience developing assessments, including familiarity with best practices in assessment development and item writing.
Work Environment:
- This is a fully remote contract position. The successful candidate will need a private workspace and reliable internet connection. Regular virtual meetings will be required.
