Job description

About Popcorn Growth

We are an award winning, TikTok-first, influencer marketing agency and social media company, here to shake up stuffy, old-school agency practices.

We know that success on TikTok for brands depends on speed and efficiency.

We know that creators do their best work when we let them be the creatives.

We’ve operationalized the whole influencer marketing process so that we can help brands move at the speed of TikTok.

Now, we are looking for passionate industry disruptors who are ready to move as fast as we do.

Assistant Chief of Staff Job Summary

This is a role for someone eager to learn and be hands-on on what it takes to build a successful agency. You will be supporting our client-facing team, which includes our CEO, Chief of Staff, VP of Partnership and Creative Director, with experiences from JP Morgan and Nike, and education from Harvard Business Schools.

Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, the successful candidate will support how we reach and serve our clients, such as preparing client-ready presentations, producing sales reports and arranging travel / meeting / events logistics.

Successful candidates will have to be resourceful, detail-oriented and motivated. We are open to fresh graduates from competitive colleges.

This will start off as a part-time role (3-4 hours/day) as probation, eventually growing into a full-time role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting the sales team with updating sales CRM, tracking meetings and calls, taking notes, following up with prospects and clients
  • Arranging logistics for client events and meetings
  • Preparing client-ready decks (Canva preferred)
  • Drafting/replying emails on behalf of the team
  • Producing reports for the client pipeline
  • Ad-hoc tasks for the CEO and the team

Our Values

  • We think before we understand, and then we implement.
  • We prioritize high-impact actions.
  • We apply judgment on:
  1. When to get involved and when to get out of the way.
  2. When to be an independent problem solver and when to ask for help.
  • Good and fast is better than slow and perfect.
  • Stuff gets done, stuff gets done well.
  • There are days we are motivated, there are days we are not motivated. Every day, we are disciplined.
  • We trust each other because of transparency.
  • We reward performance, not hours worked, not tenure.

We are:

  • NOT looking to be perfect/excel at every task. We are a rapidly growing startup that values practicality. We look for team members who find the happy medium between getting all the information and getting the job done
  • NOT going to micromanage. You are encouraged to ask: if this goes wrong, will it significantly affect the company/process/client? If not, make a decision and move on.
  • NOT shy from being brutally honest with your teammates.

Compensation

Being a startup, compensation packages are based on the level of skill and experience each candidate brings to their role, with the possibility to flex. Similarly, there might also be a more senior or junior position available, that would be a better fit with your expertise. For example, a person may apply for a Senior Creative Producer role, and we may assess that their skills are at the Creative Producer level. Each level has its own compensation range. We are flexible on work arrangements, with both part time and full time options.

Job requirements

  • Based in United States
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented and motivated
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise multiple workstreams
  • Ability to respond to last-minute demands
  • Client-ready written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to produce client-ready presentation (Canva skills preferred)
  • Know how to use Google workspace (Gsheets, Gdoc etc) and comfortable with Excel / Charts and CRM database
  • Fresh graduates from a competitive college, with strong internship experiences are welcomed
  • Project and event management experiences will be a bonus
