Job Description
We’re seeking an Associate Director, Business Intelligence to help us continue to scale and optimize our enterprise reporting operations. As a high-impact member of the analytics team, you will be working to deliver data-driven insights to key stakeholders across the enterprise. The Associate Director, Business Intelligence will interface with practice operations, revenue cycle, new product development, finance, and population health teams on reporting needs. This person will be responsible for owning the mechanisms which ensure successful project delivery that cover internal and external customer requirements.
Associate Director, Business Intelligence is an emerging leader within the team. You will participate in training and mentoring members of the team. You’ll assist in the development of end-to-end analytics solutions efforts, working with cross-functional teams to understand evolving requirements and business needs, build scalable reports and applications, and deliver solutions that ultimately empower end-users in making data-driven business decisions.
Primary Job Duties:
- Oversee analytics and reporting products, including requirements gathering, work planning, communications, issue resolution, KPI reporting, and project management tools.
- Lead MicroStrategy development activities, including architecture, administration, and the creation and maintenance of new and enhanced dashboards and dossiers, utilizing MicroStrategy best practices.
- Lead team in a fast-paced environment and appropriately prioritize and manage multiple projects with varying timelines, putting an emphasis on quality work products.
- Build relationships with clients and teams across Privia in order to deeply understand the business issues and continuously develop scalable analytic approaches and solutions.
- Work closely with Product Engineering/IT to maintain data integrity and align timing on delivery of technology solutions to stakeholders.
- Mentor and help to drive operational excellence from the Business Intelligence team.
- Manage offshore developers, guiding them through requirements, answering questions, and keeping them accountable for deliverables.
- Identify and resolve and/or escalate roadblocks, issues, and conflicts.
- Submit and manage issues and enhancement cases with MicroStrategy for administration/environmental related issues.
- Be a player/coach; have an outcome-driven attitude and be willing to jump in and help as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3+ years of total experience in a business intelligence, engineering, or product management role.
- Proficient with relational databases, SQL, and BI software like MicroStrategy.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models, as well as knowledge of Agile or traditional project management principles and practices.
- Balanced business/technical background:
- Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
- Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.
- Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare experience in a healthcare delivery, consulting, or health plan environment.
- Experience with Python or other coding/scripting languages.
- Experience with Snowflake and/or implementing a reporting platform using Big Data.
Colorado, New York, New Jersey, California and Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $128,800.00- $140,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
