Associate Director Software Engineering

As a Associate Director Software Engineering, you will be a vital part of the engineering team responsible for building and deploying innovative services in Google Google Cloud Platform using Java Spring Framework. Work with management, data and customer service teams to develop industry leading functionality in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You will be working on the Lasso platform which is the first and only omni-channel platform for healthcare marketing and analytics, powering some of the largest pharmaceutical brands and media agencies in the US. We empower media planning, buying, and analytics teams with every tool they need to do their job, and do it well. By simplifying workflows that used to take days into seconds, integrating functionality that used to require multiple vendors into one, and providing faster and deeper insights than anyone in the industry, we are helping healthcare marketers cut their costs, move faster and drive measurable results – all within a single platform.
About the Job
- Provide designs and plans for developing a next-generation, modern production system using Test-driven Development and CI/CD practices with best in class engineering team.
- Define all aspects of development from using appropriate technology to implementation details.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in Product Management, Infrastructure, Engineering and Management to design, develop and support complex high-availability cloud services.
- Develop and support integrations with external data partners and Ad exchanges such as Xandr, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Collaborate with QA team to develop robust comprehensive test plans and procedures.
Must Have:
- Proven experience in software architect role developing solutions for diverse and complex problems
- Experience leading engineering teams in designing and building solutions through full SDLC in Agile environment.
- Proven expertise in developing APIs, microservices and big data analytics.
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure (GCP, Azure or AWS)
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Strong technical skills in developing cloud services using multiple software tools and languages.
- Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Java Spring Framework
- SQL Experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Google Big Query)
- Passion for learning and working with cross-functional teams
- Motivated self-starter who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision
Bonus Points For:
- AdTech Domain Expertise (using Facebook, Twitter or Xandr APIs)
- High-load API development experience
- Create data pipelines with Cloud DataFlow, Cloud Functions (NodeJS, Python) for data analytics.
- Business analytics and reporting using big data processing techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Science, Technology or Working Experience
