Associate Manager - Hybrid Cloud Console
About the job:
The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Associate Manager toEast Coast US Time Zone. In this role, you will contribute to one of our most important and innovative projects: Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console, which is the customer-facing platform for Red Hat’s managed cloud services. You will be leading a team of UI engineers responsible for ensuring customers have a delightful and consistent user experience on console.redhat.com. Your team will be developing a shared and consistent design foundation, a library of re-usable user interface components and a set of tools that allow console.redhat.com teams to build interfaces using modern web standards. You’ll need to be someone who is smart, friendly, collaborative and one who loves to learn and coach.
What you will do:
- Lead an inclusive and high-performance team of engineers to deliver the UI platform for console.redhat.com
- Provide mentorship and coaching to your team to help them learn, grow and succeed
- Partner with Engineering, Quality Engineering, Product Management and User Experience Design stakeholders to facilitate feature delivery
- Collaborate with with cross-functional managers and teams on software engineering, product management, support, and quality engineering (QE) to coordinate tasks necessary for delivering and maintaining enterprise-quality SaaS applications
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related discipline
- 2+ years of experience managing and/or leading software engineering teams
- 3+ years of experience in software development and engineering
- Will manager a team of 5+ and will be responsible for helping grow the team
- Experience with at least one UI framework: React, Javascript or Angular
- Experience with agile and comfortable with rapid iteration and fast delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
