What you will do in an Associate Product Designer role at Kyruus Health

  • You’ll use research best practices to test, ask questions, and study how well designs work along with summarizing your findings to guide product design decisions for product, technology, and design teams. 
  • You will participate in and lead user design sessions working to structure these so we can further refine and improve our products. 
  • You will be an advocate for our users, leveraging your background and experience to improve and evolve how they find and get care. 
  • You will join a team of design allies working to strengthen the design infrastructure and culture at Kyruus Health. 
  • You will use the many tools in your toolkit to document and communicate your learning and rationale while you iterate on the solutions you build. 
  • You will assist in creating basic design deliverables such as usability tests, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, ensuring timely execution with high quality under the guidance of senior designers. 
  • You will utilize existing design and user research to develop solutions that meet established user needs and adhere to design principles. 
  • You will engage in the continuous improvement of our design system, understanding its impact on broader company goals.
  • You will collaborate effectively with product teams and engineers to understand technical constraints and participate in quality assurance processes to ensure excellent final products.
  • You will build structured prototypes across various fidelities and devices, ensuring accessibility and responsiveness. 
  • You will actively seek and incorporate feedback from more experienced team members to enhance design skills and knowledge. 
  • You will contribute to team presentations and communicate design ideas and decisions clearly both verbally and in writing. 
  • You will work within multiple teams and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You will report to the Director, Product Design within the Product Department.

  • Kyruunauts in the Associate Product Designer role can move in a more linear career path to a Product Designer position. From there, you could move into a Senior Product Designer level role or explore a management position within the Product Design vertical. 
  • Kyruus Health also loves to see an internal transfer. If a linear career path is not what you’re looking for, you can work with your manager and HR to explore lateral moves to other parts of the organization as you continue to grow with us.

What you will bring:

  •  Up to 2 years experience working in product design, research, and/or data-driven design.
  • Strong foundation in basic design principles, including color theory, typography, grid systems, and composition. 
  • Familiarity with usability testing tools like Maze, UserTesting, or similar. 
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar. 
  • Ability to articulate design decisions and understand their impact on the end-user experience. 
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of constructing well-organized emails and contributing to team presentations. 
  • A proactive approach to learning and personal development, with a keen interest in staying informed about industry trends and design best practices. 
  • The ability to work effectively in a remote environment. 
  • The ability to travel a few times a year for focused work sessions. 
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is preferred but not required.
