About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Associate Product Manager to join our team at Leaf Trade. Reporting to the Director of Product, the Associate Product Manager will aid in scoping and leading new implementations for Leaf Trade’s integrations product set, and improve upon existing integrations with key integrators in the cannabis ecosystem. As an Associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development of API needs and integration features, from conception to launch. To excel in this role, you should have a good understanding of product development and management, an analytical mindset, and a drive to bring innovative ideas to the table.

Accordingly, the Associate Product Manager will have strong communication and customer service orientation and will patiently communicate across diverse stakeholders, including less technically savvy users as part of comprehensive roll-out plans for new products. They are skilled at listening to and interpreting people's needs and are able to use that in finding the fundamental problem a user is experiencing.

*Responsibilities *

  • Integration Expertise: Become the go-to expert for our existing integrations and APIs, fielding questions and bridging the gap between technical and business aspects, evaluating feature requests, and addressing concerns cross-functionally.
  • User Advocate: Champion the needs of API and integration end-users throughout the development process, ensuring their requirements are met.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to document user stories, manage and refine backlogs, and engage in scrum activities.
  • Client Management: Collaborate with account management and sales to manage technical relationships with key partners, introduce integration capabilities to potential clients, and assist in scoping new features.
  • Product Discovery: Utilize insights from user interviews and stakeholder feedback to recommend practical product enhancements that align with user needs and maintain stability.
  • User Research: Conduct interviews with platform users and stakeholders to gather valuable insights, preferences, and user-friendly solutions.

  • Strategic Planning: Analyze and synthesize customer research to create and update feature rollout strategies in collaboration with marketing, account management, and sales.
  • Product Strategy Support: Assist the Director of Product in developing and prioritizing product strategies and vision, focusing on partner integrations, customer-facing APIs, and feature enhancements.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Product Management or related field, with a preference for experience in API and integrations.
  • Background: Previous involvement in technical teams responsible for managing products or product suites.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to collaborate with and present to strategic partners, clients, and other external stakeholders.
  • Prioritization: Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities.
  • Data Driven Decision-Making: Strong analytical and quantitative skills for data interpretation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Passion for improving processes and workflows.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster collaborative, open working relationships with technology partners and stakeholders.
  • Management Tools: Familiarity with product, project management and agile methodology tools such as JIRA, Asana, Google Suite, etc.
