Aretum is seeking a motivated Associate UI/UX Designer to join our team. As an Associate UI/UX Designer, you will work closely with our Senior UI/UX Designers to create user-centric designs for our digital products.

In this role, you will assist in conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of compelling user experiences. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with design, implementation and deployment of the website/app, and partner with QA for testing.
  • Assist Sr. UI/UX designer to analyze existing systems, develop requirements for new systems, creates wireframes and mockups.
  • Work with application users to design web and mobile apps incorporating Human Centered Design principles for intuitive user interface.
  • Participate in software systems development, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements.
  • Analyze software requirements, user interface design, user experience, develop and document UI designs based on standards and best practices.
  • Lead the team of UI/UX designers to incorporate Human Centered Design principles and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Utilize agile development methodology.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates must be hands-on, with excellent communication skills.
  • Requires BS degree and 5+ years' experience using a web design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma or Sketch
  • Experience in applying best practices for improving web accessibility, usability, and technical implementation.
  • Experience with designing User Interface graphics and elements, with defined styling, revisions, and/or improvements
  • Minimum Secret Security Clearance (or Interim) is required before start.
  • A DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security + CE or equivalent) is required before start.
