Job Description
As an Automation Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency within our organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will leverage your programming skills and automation expertise to create innovative solutions that enhance productivity and drive business growth.
Note: The role will require the person to support EMEA shifts ( 12 pm IST to 11 pm IST any 9 hour window)
Responsibilties:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and understand business requirements.
- Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions using industry-leading tools and technologies.
- Write efficient and maintainable code to automate repetitive tasks, workflows, and business processes.
- Conduct thorough testing of automation scripts to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve automation issues and optimize performance.
- Document technical specifications, system configurations, and automation procedures for reference and training purposes.
- Stay updated on emerging automation trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve our automation capabilities.
- Assist in evaluating and selecting automation tools and platforms to meet business needs and objectives.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate automation solutions with existing systems and applications.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive innovation and process improvement across the organization.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably within a managed services IT company.
- Strong engineering and networking skills with the ability to converse with clients at a deep technical level.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for automation and reporting.
- Must have ability to write scripts using Python and BASH scripting
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Computer skills: Rundeck, SALT Enterprise, Python, BASH Scripting
- Other knowledge: Ansible Tower
