AVP, Product Marketing

This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Calix is looking for an AVP, Product Marketing who is passionate about marketing (and the solutions that transform the way Broadband Service Provider (BSP) marketers deliver differentiated subscriber experiences), cloud innovation, the power of real-time behavioral data and accelerating our customers’ go-to-market plans.

The AVP, Product Marketing, Marketer Persona and Marketing Cloud will lead product marketing for the marketing aspects of the Revenue EDGE platform. This role will help ensure that with a deep understanding of BSP marketer’s needs, we accelerate the deployment of new offerings, reach the right BSPs with a compelling value proposition and help our customers deliver amazing new experiences to their subscribers. The ultimate goal is to deliver constantly evolving solutions that accelerate our customers’ understanding of their subscribers and ultimately their Go-To-Market plans.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Partner with Calix Product Line Leadership and Development teams to define customer/market requirements and advance the platform strategy.

Communicate the needs of BSP marketers, including detailed workflow and persona inputs for continued portfolio evolution.

Create a cohesive, proven structure/ forum with our customers to gather meaningful feedback and inputs to be leveraged by field and Product Line Leadership teams

Own the content, stories, and messaging around the Revenue EDGE Platform

Own the end-to-end marketing plan, including naming, branding, social, digital, demand generation, influencer programs, field marketing and events (working with our partners in other areas of marketing to execute on aspects of this robust plan).

Develop thought leadership content that demonstrates Calix’s leadership in this space.

Partner with sales leaders, Partner Marketing, and the Sales Enablement team to deliver channel enablement and sales programs.

Work directly with Calix customers to develop advocacy.

Partner with leadership across the Calix team and support the Calix Partnership team to help develop a vibrant ecosystem of alliances and partnerships.

Lead and inspire a team of Senior Product Marketers to innovate and develop new ways to support our customers through Calix solutions and help them accelerate their go-to-market.

Qualifications:

Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Calix will consider requests for reasonable accommodations as required under applicable law.

Exceptional entrepreneurial and marketing mindset with a keen ability to effectively interface with customers.

Strong interpersonal, written, and public speaking skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple audiences and levels within both internal and external organizations.

Capable of building consensus and achievement of a shared vision, affecting change, thinking, and acting strategically and willing to take smart risks.

Experience working in a geographically distributed team with ability to foster strong working relationship throughout the organization.

10+ years of marketing and/or product management leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of success in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

10+ years in the communications equipment or services industry is ideal.

Working experience with both cloud-based Marketing solutions and applications related to broadband access and Wi-Fi.

Familiarity with the Calix product portfolio or similar telecom technologies a plus, including Smart Home Solutions, Wi-Fi, Persona-based Cloud Solutions and Access Network technologies.
