As a DevOps engineer senior or lead on the Cloud Platform within our Enterprise Hosting Solutions organization, you'll be an integral part in our developing area of AWS capabilities and solutions for Cloud Computing. Progressive’s Cloud technologies are focused on creating infrastructure solutions that empower the business to execute initiatives at improved speed and quality over conventional approaches. In this role, you'll utilize your Agile team mindset along with your experience/skills with AWS, coding, IaC, and scripting to advance, support, and automate AWS capabilities ultimately evolving into a more self-service oriented environment for the IT organization.

This is a remote position for US based work only.

Must-have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of four years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.
  • Instead of degree, minimum of six years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.

Preferred Skills

  • Experienced working in AWS including (Lambda, S3, KMS, EC2, Databases (RDS/DynamoDB, CloudTrail/Cloudwatch, SQS, SNS etc.)
  • Strong understanding of AWS security tools/concepts including AWS Config/SCP, firewall, proxy, key management, IAM, AWS Organizations and Modern Auth tools such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT Tokens
  • Good scripting experiences and general software development knowledge including REST APIs, AWS CLI, PowerShell and/or Python/Boto3, HashiCorp Terraform, GIT, and/or Microsoft TFS
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and SIEM tools such as Splunk along with exposure to CI/CD tool chains, such as Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others, which could include levels of management and external vendors

Compensation

  • $88,000-$130,000/year depending on the position level and experience
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
