AWS DevOps Lead Engineer

TechFlow, Inc. is hiring a remote AWS DevOps Lead Engineer to work with client development teams to design, develop and maintain CI/CD automation workflows across all cloud services, environment, and applications. Key Responsibilities
- Serves as an expert platform engineer and/or software engineer/ applications developer, managing and directing multiple highly complex and innovative IT projects and initiatives. This includes translating technical specifications into programming specifications; developing, customizing, and/or acquiring applications software programs; testing, debugging, and maintaining software programs; building and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
- Serves as a recognized and respected authority on a diverse range of highly technical and complex software engineering issues, as well as more widespread issues affecting customer agencies’ missions.
- Keeps up to date with developments in the private sector; seeks out best practices; and identifies and seizes opportunities that are not obvious to others. The employee’s expertise in software and service design is often sought due to extensive knowledge and experience.
- Uses expert analytical skills to apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessing and improving project outcomes.
- Develops new insights into situations and applies innovative IT solutions to implement new or cutting -edge programs and processes.
- Reviews projects for technical feasibility and adherence with the project objectives.
- Examines technical policy issues and strategic planning with a long-term perspective for customer agencies.
- Focuses work on partnering with the customer and supporting them as a platform operator or solutions architect, as well as providing coaching and mentoring to their engineers and stakeholders.
- Creates a work environment focused on trust, respect, value, and collaboration, realizing that the best work comes from respecting diverse skill sets and backgrounds on the project.
- Helps develop cybersecurity workforce plans, strategies and guidance to support the security compliance lead/ISSO with training and education requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field such as Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems.
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Requires strong knowledge of public clouds like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or VMware.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud infrastructure principles including containerization and virtualization
- Understands and uses test-driven development (TDD) principles.
- Experience in Kubernetes / Helm / Flux
- Experience managing multiple environments, multiple releases. Experience with Release-on-Demand. Blue/Green or A/B releases
- Experience in GitOps
- AWS Certification (AWS DevOps or Solution Architect).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance
