Position Description:

As an Azure Infrastructure Lead Engineer at CGI, you will engage in the overall technical design strategy and implementing of our projects relating to Azure set up, Infrastructure migration, Data Center Transformation and DevOps implementation achieved through Azure-Enabled Infrastructure Automation. If you have serious experience with architecting and driving cloud solutions, we would love to talk to you about leading and crafting the Azure adoption strategy for our key clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include hands on Azure administration as well as design and implementation of new Azure environments.

Technical Ownership and Execution: You will be accountable for technical design and implementation of solutions to our clients. You will plan and implement their entire infrastructure & application portfolio to Azure. This includes assessing their ability to move & deploy the appropriate infrastructure, performance testing, and documenting operational changes.

Team Leadership: Leveraging DevOps best practices and leading project teams to successfully deliver on task and on budget.

Account Education: You will lead our clients to explore how they can take advantage of the complete Azure platform including IaaS, PaaS, and other technologies.

Team Leadership: Using DevOps standard methodologies and leading project teams to efficiently deliver on task and on budget

Account Education: You will educate our clients to explore how they can take advantage of the complete Azure platform including IaaS, PaaS, and other technologies.

Assessments & Engagement: You will lead hands-on workshops with our clients who are just beginning the exploration into the cloud. You’ll help them understand the basics of the platform, do initial planning on how to migrate their applications and deploy initial hybrid workloads (configuring VPNs, setting up operating portals, deploying IaaS VMs, and using PaaS). The final step is moving and testing an actual production workload.

Vision and Architecture: The ability to impart to the clients how advanced cloud architectures using both IaaS and PaaS will improve their agility and ability to rapidly deliver solutions to their organization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Looking for a Sr. Azure administrator to design, implement, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Azure solutions, including major services related to compute, storage, network, and security.

Minimum 10 years of shown experience in the IT industry primarily in the Infrastructure Administration space.

7+ years of technical lead role and ownership of infrastructure solutions is a must

5+ years with virtualization, storage and networking architecture

Agile Integration and Azure DevOps hands-on experience for this role is required.

Experience in broad architectural skills and driving customer adoption.

Need experience with Databricks, and Lakehouse

Experience moving workloads from on premise to IaaS (AWS, Rackspace, Azure, etc.)

Networking fundamentals, including hybrid cloud technologies preferred

Ability to craft the architectures for integrating core infrastructure technologies in support of enterprise applications

Strong Active Directory skills, including Group Policy Administration, Replication and Deployment experience.

Experience with implementing DevOps pipelines for Infrastructure and code

Additionally, some of the responsibilities of running the Azure environment will include Administrating Azure Resources, spearheading the Azure subscription, Azure Security (RBAC), crafting custom scripts to automate support processes where applicable Ability to Power off/ Down the un-used VMs Ability to identify issues at Azure level and resolve, Azure Cost Management, Proactive monitoring & optimization, HADR, Crafting SOPs

Azure Architectural guidance around services such as Databricks, Key vault, storage account, VM, Paas, IaaS, AAD with focus around High Performance, High availability, Resilience, recovery, security & cost optimization.

Automation/Terraform will be a great to have skill.

Educational Expectations: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $106,300 - 204,600.
