Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to perform cloud implementations for a large-scale Federal program. This role offers an organized, focused leader an opportunity to grow your skills in a complex, challenging environment with a high-performing team. You will have the opportunity to design broad solutions while also addressing the unique needs of multiple applications and interacting with a variety of customers and project teams.

Position can be located Nationwide.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate for this position is able to perform technical tasks including application deployment, application configuration, server operating system management, cloud infrastructure and automation.

The candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Application configuration management
  • Identity and access management
  • Patching of Operating System and other software
  • Identify and respond to opportunities for improvement within the system
  • Log management and analysis
  • System performance optimization and tuning
  • Monitor system health and respond to incidents as they occur

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

The “must have” experience to be successful in this role includes:

  • Demonstrated contributions and experience with Azure Active Directory
  • Demonstrated contributions and experience with Active Directory Domain Services
  • Demonstrated contributions and experience with Windows Server 2016
  • Demonstrated contributions and experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Demonstrated contributions and experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux server operating systems
  • Demonstrated contributions and experience with cloud environments (Platform-as-a-Service and Infrastructure-as-a-Service)

The following experience and qualifications will strongly benefit a candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ or more years of experience in the IT industry
  • Experience with government infrastructure management
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code systems
  • Working knowledge of container orchestration systems
  • Working knowledge of container runtimes
  • Working knowledge of Java application servers
  • Knowledge of basic networking principles (IP, TCP)
  • Experience with the following technologies desired: Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure KeyVault, Azure Application Gateway, Blob storage, Private Endpoints, Bicep, Ansible, PowerShell Core, Desired State Configuration, NGINX HTTP server
  • Working knowledge of backup management solutions such as Azure Backup
  • Positive, can-do attitude, and desire to contribute in various means to team success.
  • Confident communication skills with management, internal team members, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently within a dynamic team environment
  • Ability to quickly identify, research, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Familiarity with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates
  • Experience with the following technologies: Kubernetes, Virtual Machines, Azure Monitor), Apache Tomcat, Internet Information Server.
  • Certifications desired but not required:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,700-155,400.
