B2B Product Marketing Manager
POSITION TITLE: B2B Product Marketing Manager
LOCATION: Remote – PST hours
DURATION: 18-months
SALARY/PAY RANGE: $60-$67/hour Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Product Messaging & Positioning: Establishes overall positioning for go-to-market strategy, plans timelines, and executes communications for product launch/sunset.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Business Planning, and Engineering to identify go-to-to-make strategies and to ensure execution success across all marketing tactics.
- Perform analysis of customer and market signals to identify customers’ unmet or unknown needs and market opportunities for enhancements or development of a feature for Azure networking products working with internal, and external partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure product/service performance by collecting performance metrics to derive insights that lead to productive courses of action to improve product/feature development, messaging, iteration, and implementation.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape, target audiences and establish product differentiators.
- Deliver and maintain marketing assets that build knowledge, engagement, and competitive differentiation across the customer’s journey.
- Content: Create presentations, data sheets, newsletters web content, and more that highlight product value for internal and external stakeholders.
- Product Launches: Work with product management and marketing team and Director of Product Marketing to plan and execute launches of net-new products, features, and capabilities.
- Manage the cross-functional implementation of launch plans to maximize impact.
- This position is remote in the US and works PST hours 9 am – 5 pm.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in B2B product marketing, product management, and strategic market planning for marketing highly technical products or related field.
- Knowledge of Cloud Services.
- Prior Microsoft marketing experience, especially with Azure.
- Growth mindset.
- Demonstrated excellence in devising go-to-market strategies and executing end-to-end marketing plans.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills and the ability to foster cross-functional teamwork among sales, marketing, and product management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven strength in copywriting and translating strategy into messaging.
- Sense of urgency and focus; ability to deliver thoughtful, polished work sometimes under tight time constraints.
- Flexible with ability to handle multiple projects independently and prioritize deadlines.
- Microsoft Proficient; including PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of writing and presenting complex, technical product to internal and external audiences.
- Ability to manage change and ambiguity:
- Ability to effectively work with and influence senior stakeholders.
- Presentation Skills: Must be self-sufficient in creating presentations and presenting to Sales and customers at both internal and external events.
- Strong grasp of technology and desire to understand all our technology, with the ability to parse technical concepts into compelling business value.
- Passion for and excited about Azure networking products.
- Good soft skills and want to be part of team.
- Willing to consider becoming an FTE for client company in the future.
- Knowledge about cloud security and products is a plus but not required.
