Job Summary:

Gerent is a top Salesforce consulting and implementation partner looking for a Full-Time B2B Technical Writer with a passion for Salesforce and/or CRM software technologies. This exciting role is performed remotely and/or from home and the successful candidate will be able to work in an progressive, high-growth organization supporting the world’s #1 (and fastest-growing) CRM solution, Salesforce.

Candidates should have a strong and diverse portfolio that shows aptitude for writing compelling marketing content for a variety of digital media platforms and channels. The ideal candidate will be an experienced technical writer with extensive experience in gathering research, conducting interviews, and crafting creative copy. While technical knowledge and/or familiarity with Salesforce is a plus, we’re open to any candidate who has an aptitude for technical writing and a knack for synthesizing new or complex subject matter.

Responsibilities:

  • Write targeted, differentiated, B2B customer-focused content that is aligned with Gerent’s marketing strategies and priorities
  • Write (primarily digital) content that is directly or indirectly related to Salesforce solutions, Gerent’s services, CRM software technologies, or industry trends
  • Develop content inclusive of but not limited to web and microsites, email campaigns/newsletters, white papers, blog posts, educational articles, customer success stories/case studies, Project-Go-Live announcements and press releases, integrating charts, illustrations, and imagery where necessary
  • Identify and execute new content writing opportunities and/or channels
  • Produce high-quality content that is appropriate for both the communication medium and its intended audience
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop an in-depth understanding of Salesforce and Gerent’s products, services, solutions, and processes in order to write engaging and technically accurate content
  • Help maintain a content calendar that supports key marketing strategies and priorities; flexibly adjust priorities to meet evolving needs and timely requests
  • Independently manage personal workload and track ongoing projects
  • Support with other special writing requests as required
  • Apply SEO / SEM best practices to all written web content
  • Oversee and escalate any reputational or legal risk related to created/published content
  • Analyze existing and potential content, identify re-use opportunities, and continuously improve content based on customer feedback and usage metrics
  • Review and edit all content for grammatical and technical accuracy prior to final delivery / publishing

Attributes and Skills:

  • Exceptional command of the English Language
  • Excellent written communication skills; ability to write, clear, concise, compelling, grammatically, and technically correct copy
  • Strong researching, interviewing, creative writing, and marketing copywriting skills
  • Demonstrated interest in Salesforce and CRM software technologies
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills - ability to work quickly and creatively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to work well with internal and external teams and partners
  • Able to develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice
  • Able to adapt different writing styles for various platforms and audiences
  • Strong understanding of creating content that drives engagement and integrates SEO best practices
  • Proactive self-starter and a team player

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, creating long-form content in tech space
  • Salesforce and/or CRM software technology industry knowledge and experience is a definite asset
  • Portfolio and sample works demonstrating content writing skills and experience, primarily in digital space
  • Working knowledge of content management tools (e.g., Google Drive, Grammarly, etc.)
  • Proficient in Google Drive; has experience working with Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.S
  • Knowledge of best practices surrounding digital content, including SEO/SEM
