Backend Developer
We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to work across our central APIs and services, connecting creators, brands and users together seamlessly, as well as helping to build out new features and ideating best practices for existing systems.
We use Typescript/Node with a React frontend, built natively on AWS. Kyra is a relatively early stage company and so we build and iterate features quickly, using the latest technologies.
The right candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment where they have full autonomy on their technical decisions.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work closely with product managers and designers to implement new features
- Make technical and architecture decisions
- Manage database setup and structure
- Working with CTO on solution designs
- Continue developing our API structure
- Maintaining system monitoring tools
- Set up developer-first principles within the team
- Optimise product for performance
Role Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in Node.JS
- Proficiency in TypeScript
- Experience building APIs
- Experience using Git or other version control tools
- Familiarity with AWS
- Preferred previous experience in database architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Ideally using GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
- Familiarity with Docker
