Benefits & Payroll Administrator
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose:
The Benefits and Payroll Administrator compiles and records employee time and payroll data, processing payroll on a semi-weekly and monthly basis for a growing global organization. This position also assists with benefits enrollment, coordinates changes in benefits platform of HRIS with annual open enrollment and manages benefits insurance billing. This role requires a highly detailed and organized individual who can multi-task but ensure accuracy is always a top focus.
Essential Functions:

- Perform all activities necessary to process accurate and timely payroll.
- Work closely with UKG (Payroll vendor) to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
- Audit pay records and reconcile all tax and unemployment liability accounts to the general ledger and investigate variances.
- Maintain confidentiality of all employees, payroll, and proprietary accounting information
- Maintains employee files and process file changes.
- Administers various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
- Manages accuracy of benefits self-enrollment system (UKG). Modifies UKG with annual open enrollment and legal changes.
- Verifies the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs.
- Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representatives.
- Administers COBRA and worker’s compensation.
- Assists employees with payroll and employee benefits questions.
- Work closely with benefit brokers to file annual reports and audits in a timely manner.
- Administers international payroll for several countries through third party payroll service provider and builds expertise in international payroll.
- Actively participates in related process improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent or four or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 5 years of Payroll/Benefits experience
- Must Have Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

- Heightened sense of confidentiality is a must, including ability and knowledge to handle highly sensitive information
- Strong interest to work in a diverse and international environment and keep up with legislation and regulations affecting US and international payroll
Work Environment:
This job operates in a remote environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. The hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and subject to changes by Manager’s communication.
Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
This position requires an individual qualified to work in the US. No relocation or sponsorships are provided.
