Definition of the role:
The ability for Silverbird to continue to operate a fast and effective service is underpinned by the scale and performance of the technology platform. They are building a new practice for BI within the technical team. Reporting to Roman Zykov, VP of Data Engineering, the Head of BI will define and lead a functional area within the broader technical team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure every department - product development, acquisition, customer success, finance and more - can make data-informed decisions and improve their performance
- Lead the development of DWH and ETLs/ELTs required to populate DWH with data from different data sources
- Lead the development of AML/KYB service based on supply chain data
- Facilitate and explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
- Lead the development and implementation of Tableau reporting
- You will immediately be responsible for leading a team of 3 BI Analysts and growing this in the next 12 months.
- You will be able to attract and inspire high quality talent to join the data team.
- You will be responsible for tooling and platforms used to deliver data and business insights from banks and payment providers
Key Responsibilities
- Provide services to help Silverbird employees make optimal decisions. Including dashboards, self-service analytics and continuously looking for insights.
- Develop and understanding of the Silverbird product data, internally and externally / third party data to help develop the tracking of key features
- Own and manage the analytics teams work and backlog
- Embrace a "buck stops here" and honest attitude: being proactive in removing blockers and to raising team performance and implementing best practices.
- Advise on areas for change/improvement, new methodologies & and tools and effectiveness of product management and development overall.
- Own full accountability for all domain decisions.
Requirements
Key Requirements
- Experience building and managing a distributed team of 3+ analysts
- Deep understanding of statistical analysis and common pitfalls of data analysis
- Hands on experience with BI/visualisation tools (e.g Tableau)
- Familiarity with data warehousing (e.g big query, Snowflake) ETL Solutions and data pipeline architecture (e.g Airflow)
- General SQL knowledge
- Developing and automating reporting / analytics
- Working with senior stakeholders to provide BI and insights
- A natural leader who understands how to drive great development and great teams.
