About the Role
We are on the hunt for a Billing Manager who will roll their sleeves up and play a central role in managing our billing & accounts receivable function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be hands-on in handling billing requests, control and manage Chargebee - our billing CRM, tasked with reconciling our accounts receivable and bad debts, and be required to prepare billing reports and analysis.

What You’ll Do
- Managing the ROLLER billing function including all queries, emails & requests.
- Manage billing-related discounts and prepare reports including billing management reports to provide further insights and analysis to our Finance team and other stakeholders.
- Create new customer profiles.
- Manage all invoicing and debtor write-offs.
- Prepare debtor reconciliations and management reports.
- Manage all other accounts receivable related tasks.
- Manage all aspects of customer billing, including accounts receivable, collections and subscription revenue
- Develop and implement processes to ensure accurate and efficient billing
- Work closely with the sales and account management teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Manage the collections process to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to facilitate timely payment and resolve billing issues
- Stay up-to-date on modern billing solutions, and implement solutions as needed
- Monitor key billing metrics and report on trends and insights to senior management
- Train and mentor junior billing staff to ensure their success and growth within ROLLER
About You
Experienced in working in a software as a service company with a deep understanding of subscription revenue and modern business solutions. You are a self starter and have a passion for billing and customer success. You are someone who enjoys getting into the details with the ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency. You bring a focused and reliable approach through your ability to work with a high volume of accounts, whilst delivering consistent results efficiently and to a high standard.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role preferably from within the tech industry coupled with a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Deep understanding of subscription revenue and contracts and modern billing solutions.
- Knowledge of Chargebee, Xero, Hubspot, Salesforce.
- Have an eye for detail in addition to an ability to prioritize tasks effectively whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex billing issues and see tasks through to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other billing software applications
