Billing Specialist

The Billing Specialist is a functional team member who can assist with all aspects of the department needs, including front line communication and assistance to our customers who have billing-related questions, account receivable and billing.
How you'll add value:
- Adhere to all company policies and guidelines
- Provide initial response to customer requests and ensure request is properly routed to the appropriate resource, if not part of the team scope
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, or other electronic methods
- Collaborate with members of various teams to resolve customers’ billing needs
- Create support materials to resolve customer issues more efficiently
- Follow ticket/issue escalation procedures
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles to assist in speedy resolutions
- Assist with training new or temporary team members
- Process customer payments in a timely and efficient manner
- Contributes to team effort by sharing knowledge, supporting other’s efforts, and providing back-up support as required
- Process billing as needed
- Work collaboratively to improve efficiencies and identify trends that could benefit from proactive measures
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll need to be successful in this role:
- High school degree mandatory and college degree preferred
- Accounting or Customer Service experience a plus
- Experience with Salesforce, Fresh Desk or similar CRM is a plus
- Knowledge of MS Office Products
- Customer Service, Quality Focus, Problem Solving, Excellent Written/Oral Communication Skills, E-mail/Phone Skills, Troubleshooting, Analyzing Information, Multi-tasking, Computer Savvy

- This position has a salary range of $24.50-$28. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic location.
