Position Summary:

We are looking for a creative individual to join our expanding in-house marketing team! This person would be directly involved in the development and execution of marketing and branding initiatives across various channels. We are seeking a highly skilled Brand Content Writer with a flair for crafting engaging and compelling content that resonates with our target audiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for upholding our brand's voice and tone across multiple platforms, ensuring a consistent and impactful brand experience. This individual will blend creativity with analytical skills to analyze our different audiences and tailor messaging that speaks directly to their interests and needs.

This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Brand Manager.

What you will do: 

  • Craft high-quality original content for emails, press-releases, articles, blogs, brand websites, social media, newsletters, videos scripts and other marketing materials that engage and connect with our audience base.
  • Develop content to position our brands as thought leaders in the senior space for paid and non-paid media opportunities.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop a cohesive content strategy that aligns with the brand’s goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a brand voice guide that embodies the company’s values, mission, and audience insights.
  • Interpret the brand communication guide to ensure consistency in style, quality, and tone of voice across all content channels.
  • Tailor content for various platforms while maintaining brand voice and messaging continuity.
  • Edit and proofread content produced by your team members, offering constructive feedback.
  • Use SEO principles to maximize reach to our target audiences.
  • Stay up to date with content trends, consumer preferences, and advancements in technology.
  • Conduct and apply thorough research to ensure content accuracy and credibility.
  • Analyze content performance metrics and use this information to optimize future content.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion.
  • Engage with followers and respond to queries in a tone that aligns with the brand’s voice.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Around 6-8 years of proven experience as a content writer or similar role with an impressive portfolio or samples.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business’ various types of content.
  • An understanding of targeting content to specific audiences and platforms.
  • Experience with digital marketing functions including SEO, Content Management Systems, and Social Media Marketing.
  • Strong research skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams/Slack)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 5%); will include some overnight

travel.

  • Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)

Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Sitting, standing and walking (95-100%)
  • Keyboarding (70-90%)
  • Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone requiring close vision (70-90%)

Work Environment: 

100% Remote: Work environment is indoors at home.
