Brand & Web Designer
As a Brand and Web Designer, you will partner with stakeholders across the marketing team and the company to elevate the web experience of Grafana.com and related websites and digital properties. This person will be part of a growing team that is focused on improving the UX of Grafana Labs’ communications which span across channels such as the marketing website, new account setup, video, social, events, internal comms, swag and more. Reporting to the Creative Director, your main mission is to modernize the website, making a more delightful experience for users of all types across all devices, and to empower teammates as they seek new ways to experiment, roll out new content, and drive toward greater awareness, trust and conversion. As a company which is founded on a highly visual digital product (Grafana), there is a natural opportunity for designers to contribute-to and support multiple different interaction design projects across the company.
Responsibilities Include:
- Partner closely with multiple teams (Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Community, Content, Events, and People teams) to ship high impact design upgrades to the website
- Design and prototype elegant solutions that convey information in a digestible way for desktop and mobile
- Help build out a design system and refine the component library for Grafana Labs’ marketing properties to drive consistency and efficiency
- Work with developers to ensure final implementation matches the vision
- Document detailed interaction models and UI specifications
- Contribute to design compositions and visual content by creating simple illustrations, graphics and icons, manipulating screenshots or photos
- Collaborate with other designers to maintain consistency in approaches and output
- Pitch in on marketing design projects wherever needed

- Significant experience designing high impact and beautiful digital solutions for SaaS, B2B, technical products/projects with thoughtful interactions, and smart use of content
- Proficiency in user-centered design methods
- Strong understanding of visual design principles and branding
- Passion for solving problems from big picture strategy to the tiny details
- Confidence to lead all aspects of the design process from conception to completion
- Strong communication skills and a track record of effectively advocating for and evangelizing user-centered design
- High level of intellectual and creative curiosity, a desire to reach beyond web to touch other aspects of the design and presentation layer of the brand
- A drive to get things done, perpetually improve your work and and learn from and uplift those around you
