Who we need:

Acentra Health is currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team!

As a Business Analyst, you will provide functional and technical support and coordination in healthcare applications, perform requirements gathering and analysis, propose business solutions, and provide operations support.

**Job Location: Rockville, MD preferred, but other remote locations will be considered.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide business and technical analysis in healthcare system applications including bill processing, reference, and rates and reports
  • Identify areas for process improvement to improve quality and optimize costs
  • Frequently apply in-depth Business Analysis knowledge to review and analyze systems problems and identify solutions
  • Analyze client business and user requirements, while leveraging expert opinion and expertise
  • Provider ongoing operations support for incident and change request management
  • Maintain system documentation of the business area including design documents
  • Provide support for systems operations activities
  • Collaborate with the technical team to propose functional and technical solutions for complex business requirements
  • Work closely with cross-functional principals, specialists, and technical management to improve business analysis quality across the enterprise
  • Conduct complex and vital work critical to the organization and work with complete latitude for independent judgment
  • Conduct requirements gathering
  • Present solutions and write functional and technical specifications for business requirements
  • Develop stakeholder relationships and process efficiencies in systems operations
  • Communicate expert knowledge to customers and industry experts
  • Research and evaluate industry trends and technologies for solving complex technical problems

Job Qualifications

What you’ll need:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent customer relation skills including presentation and meeting facilitation
  • Excellent requirements elicitation and validation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Healthcare applications
  • Knowledge of data integration and software enhancements/planning
  • Excellent understanding of technical systems knowledge
  • Knowledge of Government healthcare programs is highly preferred

Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with healthcare systems development projects
  • Experience as a primary business analysis contributor on large complex projects
  • Medicaid / Medicare (healthcare) background
  • Experience facilitating and running JAD requirements design sessions etc.
  • Business Analysis Process (SDLC, documentation procedures) experience
  • Experience with JIRA preferred.
