Business Analyst (Financial Systems)

Our client is a leading European Insurance services and solutions B2B player. We are looking for a strong Business Analyst with a background in Financial Systems who can help define detailed stories and a target state blueprint to update their front-office application, with the objective to improve productivity and relevance. Changes will be rolled out to multiple markets, which means some process standardisation as well as country specific stories need to be defined. As part of this process, you will also be looking to simplify and document some of the key processes and system integrations where appropriate.

What you will be responsible for:

Work hand-in-hand with the client’s finance team to define what needs to be built into their front office in detailed Jira stories. The scope of this role will entail:

  • Create view on current state, and what has already been defined & agreed
  • Conduct relevant interviews with key stakeholders to collect input for stories and prioritisation
  • Develop detailed stories (incl country-specific requirements where applicable) for the front-office system in Jira. Key processes are purchase to order, order to cash, and record to report
  • Blueprint and documentation of target design based on final set of requirements, including integration of front-office with mid-office finance platform
  • Sharing and refining requirements/stories with the offshore development team

Essential qualifications/skills/competencies required:

  • We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in Financial Systems and processes
  • Experience in the financial industry
