The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Business Development Manager for 3M Advanced Materials Division with a focus on 3M Ceramic Sand Screen products with a North Sea focus you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Manage all Ceramic Sand Screen (CSS) accounts in the North Sea (UK, Norway, EU) and as agreed in EMEA.
  • Interface with Marketing Organisation to nurture leads and collaborate on marketing operations
  • Be a member of the EMEA CSS Value Creation Team to drive CSS growth and market technology acceptance
  • Support growth strategy and tactics formulation and tasks
  • Provide Oil & Gas Completion situational awareness to R&D and Application Engineering

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience working for an Oilfield Service Company in lower/sand control completion applications preferably having been client facing. i.e account manager, application engineer, field engineer
  • Previous experience working for an Energy Operator in lower/sand control completion design. i.e lower completions engineer
  • Preferably having completed industry graduate or technician training programme
  • Clients with relevant Oil and Gas experience but not in sand control will be considered if candidate has proven capability to become competent in new disciplines quickly
  • Candidate must display critical thinking and problem-solving skills evidenced by previous successful outcome of strategy and tactics developed by the candidate or is able to demonstrate an aptitude for these capabilities
  • Proven experience of networking and managing customers based in Norway
  • Fluent in English language both verbal and written

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), leadership abilities and desire to collaborate across the function and organization
  • Proven ability to use analytics and influencing skills to drive results
  • Exhibited sense of urgency to drive effective change and manage performance

Job location

  • Candidates who are located in Norway is strongly preferred
  • UK and other Nordic based candidates will be considered with proven experience of operating within the North Sea/Norwegian Oil & Gas markets
  • Work your way eligible with either Hybrid/Remote/Home based/Office based - all fully supported
  • May include up to 10% domestic/international travel
