Business Development Manager
Full Job Description
The Business Development Manager will maintain existing client relationships as well as foster new client relationships, platforms and opportunities to support company’s revenue and growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be someone who is results driven and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Contact potential clients to establish new business relationships and meet with them periodically to promote the company’s product and engineering services in order to develop a robust sales pipeline.
- Develop or expand sales channels for new opportunities by expanding product concentration on existing platforms with current customers; develop opportunities to sell existing products on new platforms with new or current customers.
- Expand company’s international footprint by seeking out opportunities abroad while maintaining compliance with and having an understanding of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Collaborate with sales and design teams to ensure customer requirements are met while being mindful of company’s financial goals related to sales and profit.
- Develop a strong understanding of company products or services as well as its business position and market competition in order to keep business viable and competitive.
- Creating, presenting or responding to proposals for specific customer requirements, including RFP’s, RFI’s or RFQ’s.
- Ability to coordinate and organize customer meetings, exhibits and trade shows.
- Establish relationships to pursue other corporate growth opportunities such as acquisitions, ventures or strategic partnerships on large proposal opportunities.
- Participate in new product development discussions based on relevant customer and market feedback.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- At least five years of business development and/or sales experience.
- Experience working within aerospace and defense markets.
- Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software packages.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with strong time management skills and attention to detail.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:
