Kraken is seeking an experienced and strategic FP&A Manager to join our Business Finance team to serve as the finance lead and partner for several of our business units. The FP&A Manager will own the full business unit P&L for each line of business and play a pivotal role in driving informed decision-making, financial strategy development, and performance analysis for the organization. The role will be responsible for performing complex financial modeling, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and providing strategic insights/partnership to the business unit leads. The ideal candidate should possess a strong passion for business partnership, have a solid financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple business units across a complex and growing business.

The opportunity

  • Act as the lead finance partner to multiple business units and provide financial guidance to drive alignment with the company’s strategic priorities
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain insightful reporting for senior leadership to enable optimal financial management of their area of the business
  • Own the annual planning and forecasting processes, including thoughtful analysis and evaluation of forward looking drivers and operational efficiencies for specific lines of business
  • Initiate and implement process improvements that enable collaboration, productivity and transparency between Finance and key business partners
  • Drive regular reporting processes on business line KPIs, including building reporting dashboards and analysis for business review meetings
  • Evaluate financial and operational results to better understand business unit performance and identify opportunities in both revenue growth and expense management
  • Work closely with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting and close
  • Based in US preferred

Skills you should HODL

  • The ideal candidate will have 5 - 7+ years of progressive experience with demonstrated growth in Finance/FP&A positions, a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CFA a plus)
  • Experience supporting major cost areas and/or functions
  • Track record of performance in a high growth, dynamic environment with a bias toward action with strong analytical skills and solid business judgment
  • Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners and executives. Ability to be seen as a trusted and objective partner
  • Experience aligning cross-functional stakeholders with demonstrated aptitude in working effectively within a matrixed team across multiple functional areas
  • Expert communication and presentation skills with the ability and confidence to articulate, present and debate your recommendations
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple work streams for various stakeholders
  • Intellectually curious with problem solving orientation. Not satisfied with the easy or convenient answer

$101,000 - $153,000 a year

This is the target annual salary range for this role. This range is not inclusive of other additional compensation elements, such as our Bonus program, Equity program, Wellness allowance, and other benefits [US Only] (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

The compensation range provided is influenced by various factors and represents the initial target range. Our salary offerings are dynamic and we strive to ensure that our base salary and total compensation package aligns and recognizes the top talent we aim to attract and retain. The compensation package of the successful candidate is based on various factors such as their skillset, experience, and job scope.
