We are rapidly expanding and looking for a Business Operations Manager to support the Operations teams. The team works collaboratively with Sales, Risk, Finance, and Product to support existing and new product lines. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a strong problem-solving, analytics, and project management background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively to solve operational problems across a broad spectrum of disciplines. A successful candidate will have a broad understanding of business operations with exceptional analytical and organizational skills. They must also be comfortable juggling multiple tasks while meeting hard deadlines. They should have experience managing and driving cross-functional projects end-to-end. Additionally, they are naturally collaborative and comfortable engaging teammates across the company. When faced with a difficult problem they don't hesitate in gathering input and engaging others to solve the puzzle. A love of the details, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills is a must. You are confident in your ability to drive teams to action, execute projects on time, and are known as a team player.
Responsibilities include:
Program and Project Management
- Executing strategic projects to completion while maintaining aggressive delivery schedules and holding stakeholders accountable to deadlines
- Identifying dependencies and leveraging multiple sources of information simultaneously
- Preparing realistic and driver-based estimates of resource requirements (e.g., budget, headcount) needed to accomplish team objectives
- Balancing urgent and effective action, and taking initiative to resolve problems; holding internal stakeholders accountable where appropriate
- Supervising and training business analysts to effectively manage sub-processes and supporting projects
Business Operations, Strategic Planning, and Reporting
- Articulating and managing KPIs using metrics to drive performance and provide data in support of key decisions (including creating and managing dynamic dashboards)
- Leading and taking ownership of financial and data analysis in support of strategic objectives
- Developing materials to facilitate cross-functional team discussions as well as communicate with senior executives and the board of directors
- Supporting the development of long-term strategic roll-out of new products and services, enhanced my primary and secondary market research
Process Improvement
- Complete root-cause analysis to determine reasons behind issues and recommend counter-measures to improve operational efficiency
- Driving process improvement and effectiveness including troubleshooting operational issues as they surface
- Developing and implementing best practices across operating rhythms and routines
- Supporting day to day operations as needed to ensure process improvements are implemented
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business, finance, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in management consulting, tech, operations, project management or related experience
- Experience leading and managing teams of 2-5 people, either as direct supervisor or in cross-functional capacity
- Proactive, self-starter that likes to work in a fast-paced start-up environment, with extreme attention to detail and strong communication skills
- High level of organizational capabilities and ability to drive projects through from start to finish in a complex, cross-functional environment, collaborating across all levels of an organization
- Proficiency in executive communication tools (Powerpoint, Google Slides) and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience driving strategy and market research projects, leveraging both primary and secondary data sources
